Fitment and Use on D-Max

This pair of slipper pads is supplied as D-MAX standard parts for RC use, sold as 2 pcs. They serve as direct replacements for the slipper assembly in compatible D-Max kits, supplying the friction surfaces that control engagement and slip response.

Each pad has two distinct faces; correct installation orientation matters. One face mates to the slipper hub while the other contacts the clutch shoe, so follow your chassis layout when fitting to avoid altered slip feel or uneven wear.

Installation advice: take the slipper assembly apart, check clutch shoe condition and mating surfaces for damage, fit the pads matching the original orientation, then reassemble and verify slipper preload and engagement. Gradually adjust slipper tension while running to dial in launch and traction performance.

Tuning impact: changing pad material or orientation provides small but noticeable changes to initial engagement and slip progression without modifying springs or main hardware, making them a handy tool for fine tuning during practice.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Yes. The package contains two pads intended to be used together as the pair for the slipper assembly.
Fitting a pad reversed can alter slip feel and accelerate uneven wear because each face interfaces with different components. Always match orientation to the original layout.
Pads can tweak engagement and initial bite to influence traction, but they are not a cure-all; consider them part of an overall setup including springs, diffs, and tyre choices.
