The Yokomo Y2-002SGA serves as a graphite main chassis plate for YD-2S platform models, supplied in a matte graphite finish with an approximate thickness near 2.5 mm. As a replacement board it keeps weight down while offering increased baseline stiffness compared with many molded plastic options, making it a practical upgrade for drifting rigs.

Installation uses the YD-2S mounting layout and original screw points, so the chassis normally mounts with the existing hardware on compatible variants. Replacing the board requires transferring mounts and electronics from the original chassis; confirm servo, ESC and motor clearances before finishing the assembly to ensure there is no contact with the new plate.

On circuit, graphite modifies central flex and can sharpen turn-in and stability through transitions. Tuners often pair a graphite main plate with suspension and tyre changes to tune the balance between grip and rotation; treat the chassis plate as one step in a wider setup progression.
