Tune YD-2Z handling with the Yokomo Y2-003AZA adaptor

The Yokomo Y2-003AZA Aluminum Rear Upper Deck Adaptor is made to adjust the dynamic response of YD-2Z style chassis. By swapping out the factory upper deck mount, the adaptor connects the upper deck to the rear brace in a way that reduces overall roll stiffness. This helps free up torsion in the layout and gives a more controllable, confidence-inspiring feel on track.

Flexible Setup and Weight Shift Options

Designed to remove the central upper deck tie to the main chassis, this adaptor increases chassis compliance and opens up weight placement choices. On suitable main chassis configurations you can take out the rear brace and slide the battery toward the rear. That extra rearward mass improves rear traction and can stabilise the car at higher cornering speeds.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Yes, reducing roll rigidity tends to soften mid-corner responses and can make steering feel smoother. How it changes feel will depend on tyres, camber and anti-roll settings.
The adaptor is aimed at YD-2Z family chassis. Compatibility varies with main chassis layout, so check mounting points and brace design before fitting to ensure correct fitment.
After installing, try small adjustments to rear toe, roll centre and battery position. Start with minor changes and test on your usual surface to identify the best balance between grip and rotation.
