Precision machined rear bulkhead assembly

The Y2-302DRLA is an integrated bulkhead CNC-machined from aluminum for use on Yokomo DP, YD, SDR and RDR family chassis. The one-piece design replaces the stock rear bulkhead area with a rigid assembly to limit flex where the drivetrain and suspension meet, while selective milling removes unnecessary material to keep weight down.

As a tuning-focused structural part, it gives a firmer mounting platform that can change how the rear behaves when you tweak setup settings. It is supplied as a direct-fit spare or aftermarket upgrade that retains original mounting points for straightforward installation.

Built as a machined aluminium replacement, the Y2-302DRLA is aimed at increasing rear stiffness and offering a straightforward upgrade for supported Yokomo DP/YD/SDR/RDR models while keeping factory mounting alignment.

Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The Y2-302DRLA is machined from aluminum with weight-saving pockets; under ordinary club and track conditions it should offer reliable service, though any aluminum aftermarket part can eventually show stress after heavy impacts.
Milling is used to remove non-structural material. The component is designed so the milled cavities do not compromise the primary load paths, but crash severity and repeated shocks remain the biggest factors affecting longevity.
Aluminum can oxidise over time; regular inspection and routine maintenance will help preserve fit and function. Surface wear from hardware contact is normal and should be monitored during servicing.
The integrated machined design aims to increase local stiffness compared with some stock bulkheads, but overall strength depends on load paths and how the car is used; this part is optimised for tuning rather than impact resistance.
Check fasteners for loosening, inspect for hairline cracks after heavy runs, and ensure mating surfaces are clean; replacing worn screws and spacers will help prevent uneven loading.
With normal hobby usage the part should last well, but aluminium can develop fatigue under extreme or repeated shock; monitor condition and replace if you notice deformation or cracking.
