Yokomo Y2-RMC04RA Red Aluminium Mount for Better Heat Control

The Yokomo Y2-RMC04RA red aluminium motor mount is aimed at improving heat management on YD-2R series drift cars. Machined from aluminium, its integrated heatsink profile helps pull heat away from rear-mounted motors where airflow can be limited.

Finned Profile for More Surface Area

This mount adds a series of fins to raise overall surface area and improve heat dispersion compared with plain mounts. That added cooling capacity is useful during longer drifting sessions or when running higher power setups.

Expanded Motor Placement Options

You get seven fixed gearbox positions to tweak motor height relative to the top shaft axis. Extra mounting holes at the lower motor position give a wider adjustment range than the standard 6-stage YD-2R layout, letting you fine tune belt geometry and handling.

Aluminium conducts heat away from the motor and the finned surface helps dissipate it. This lowers the chance of thermal-related performance drops, though final gains depend on motor and load.
No special tools are required beyond basic RC setup tools. Standard hex drivers and a careful alignment check are usually all you need.
The improved cooling helps when running hotter motors, but ensure your ESC and battery can handle the increased demands before changing motor KV.
Changing motor height can alter belt tension and centre of mass slightly. Use the extra positions to balance wheel spin and steering feel for your track conditions.
