Fitment and Function for YD-4MR

This front one-way housing is crafted for installation on YD-4MR front assemblies and serves as the designated front one-way unit for that chassis. The part conforms to the front drive geometry used on YD-4MR style setups and is intended as an aftermarket replacement or tuning component for front drivetrain arrangements.

Be aware the rotation sense differs from the front mid motor configuration used on the YD-4, so verify orientation and adjoining parts before fitting. Since rotation direction determines how the one-way engages during acceleration and deceleration, ensure correct orientation relative to the gearbox and drive shafts when installing.

Installation notes emphasise proper seating and alignment with the front drive pieces on DP-YD4MR type assemblies. Use this housing where a front-positioned one-way is required to replicate the YD-4MR front-end layout or when tuning front-end behavior on track.

Compatibility

  • DP-YD4MR

Confirm the housing orientation and inspect mating shafts and gearbox faces for correct fit. The rotation direction differs from some YD-4 variants, so alignment is critical for proper engagement.
This item is supplied as a replacement and tuning option for YD-4MR front assemblies and is compatible with DP-YD4MR front drive configurations.
Yes. Rotation sense dictates engagement timing during throttle and coast, so it will influence front grip and transient response. Adjust damping and roll stiffness accordingly when testing.
