Does the YG-302B need a separate power source?

No separate battery is required. The gyro is powered from the receiver connection, so ensure your receiver supply is stable before use.

Can I adjust gain on the transmitter or only on the gyro?

Both options are available. Use the on-unit volume control for 2-channel setups and the transmitter-linked channel for 3-channel radios to make in-car adjustments.

Will the resin case affect durability?

The resin housing keeps weight and cost down while offering reasonable protection. For hard impacts consider additional mounting protection on your chassis.
