Short Shock II piston specification

This RC short shock piston is designed specifically for BD7-2016 shock units and features the 1.1 x 3-hole SLF flow pattern. As a replacement damper piston it lets tuners alter internal oil passage behavior while keeping external shock dimensions unchanged.

To fit the piston, disassemble the short shock body, swap out the original piston for this SLF unit, and reassemble seals and shafts in their correct sequence. Double-check piston alignment and stroke clearance before reinstalling the shock, and select a shock oil viscosity that matches the piston choice for consistent damping.

From a setup viewpoint the piston modifies bleed rate through the holes and influences mid- and high-speed compression damping when combined with BD7-2016 shock bodies. Implement piston swaps as part of incremental setup changes to isolate handling effects on your 1/10 touring car.

Compatibility

Compatible with BD7-2016.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Properly matched oil and regular inspection reduce wear; the SLF design itself does not degrade life if seals and shafts remain in good condition.
Check seals and oil after every few sessions; replace oil and inspect O-rings if you notice increased friction, leaks, or inconsistent damping.
With clean oil and routine maintenance the three-hole SLF layout performs reliably; contamination or degraded oil are the usual causes of poor flow.
