Heavy-duty shaft designed for BD7-2014 SLF

This replacement shock shaft is supplied for BD7-2014 SLF normal shocks and is suitable when performing a damper rebuild. It functions as the central guide for the piston assembly, helping keep movement true inside SLF normal shocks on touring car dampers.

Service by standard methods: empty the shock, take off the cap and spring, pull the internal parts, and swap the worn shaft with the YOKB7-S5N. Inspect seals and retainers during reassembly to prevent leaks and maintain stable damping; never force parts and confirm free, even travel before sealing the shock.

In practice the shaft influences friction and seal wear; maintaining a smooth, straight shaft reduces variable damping and supports repeatable setup changes. Check frequently for burrs, bends, or corrosion and replace as part of routine maintenance to avoid erratic damper behavior during long runs.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The shaft provides a smooth guide that limits uneven seal wear and reduces friction; keeping the surface free from nicks and corrosion is key to longevity.
Inspect the shaft during routine damper service and replace it if you find burrs, visible bends, or signs of corrosion that could affect seal life and damping consistency.
Look for scoring, rough spots, or any out-of-straightness; these issues increase friction and lead to unpredictable damper behavior, which signals time for replacement.
