Service part for SLF short shocks

This Yokomo YOKB7-S5S shock shaft serves as a direct replacement for BD7-2014 SLF short shocks on 1/10 scale touring car dampers. It is supplied to enable routine servicing and repair without the need to modify the original shock casing.

When a shaft is bent or showing wear it can cause seal damage and inconsistent damping. Standard replacement involves removing the shock from the suspension, disassembling the end caps and spring, extracting the old piston rod and piston, fitting the new shaft assembly, and reassembling while verifying oil level and shaft alignment. Maintain your preferred oil weight and piston setup; this component replaces the mechanical shaft only and does not alter oil-based damping settings.

Inspect the shaft for straightness and secure fit during regular maintenance since these factors influence seal life and friction. This listing describes a 1/10 scale RC damper spare and is not intended for real vehicle use.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Yes. The part is intended to fit BD7-2014 SLF short shock assemblies and functions as the direct piston rod replacement for those shocks.
Roll the shaft on a flat, clean surface or mount it in the shock and rotate slowly to detect wobble. Any visible runout suggests replacement is required.
No. The shaft is a structural component; damping characteristics remain set by oil type and piston configuration, not by the shaft itself.
