Low-profile 5x8x2.5mm bearing for R/C components

This Yokomo YOKBB850P 5x8x2.5mm Super Precision Bearing is manufactured as a compact metal ball bearing for hobby R/C use. The size fits common small shafts and hub applications found in pan cars, touring cars, and other micro-scale electric models where space is limited.

Functionally the bearing is suited as a direct replacement for idlers, small gearbox outputs, and shaft supports where smooth rolling and low friction improve drivetrain efficiency. Tight tolerances help the bearing resist unwanted play under variable motor loads.

Fitment tip: install the bearing by driving on the outer race with a suitable sleeve to protect the inner race. Inspect radial clearance after seating and apply a small amount of light bearing oil for smoother break-in in outdoor or dusty environments.

Lifespan varies with environment and load. In clean indoor use it will last much longer; outdoors or in gritty conditions expect to service or replace bearings more frequently. Regular light lubrication extends service life.
Metal bearings without seals are vulnerable to water ingress. Avoid water contact or use sealed alternatives and re-lubricate promptly if the part gets wet.
Standard metal bearings can corrode if exposed to moisture and salt. For longevity, keep them clean, dry, and lightly oiled after wet runs.
It is designed for small shaft and hub loads typical of R/C models. Heavy side loads or misalignment will shorten life; ensure correct housing and shaft alignment.
