Compact RWD Drift Platform with Tuning in Mind

The Yokomo YOKDPYD2G is aimed at hobbyists who prioritise adjustability and predictable slide control. As an established RWD drift layout, Yokomo built this kit to allow detailed setup changes. Its 4-gear rear transmission improves traction response at the driven axle for smoother transitions between throttle and drift.

Engineered for Neutral Steering

A horizontal motor layout keeps the centre of mass low and helps maintain consistent left-right balance, producing neutral steering that makes line control easier. The front geometry has been updated specifically for rear-wheel drift use and includes an adjustable Ackermann ratio so you can tune turn-in character for different tyres and driver tastes.

Adjustable Gyro and Protected Gear Train

The YG-302 steering gyro can be used to aid counter-steering and stabilise mid-drift corrections, with settings flexible enough for different surfaces. The kit's sealed gearbox design reduces dust ingress, helping to preserve gears and bearings under regular drift use.

Can I use a brushless motor with this chassis?

The chassis supports common brushless motors; just ensure the chosen motor and pinion fit the gearbox and that your ESC is compatible with a 2-cell Li-po supply.
