The Yokomo YOKPG4822 48 pitch 22-tooth pinion is supplied as a straightforward replacement option for electric RC models running 48 pitch gearing. It mates with compatible 48 pitch spurs and transfers motor torque into the gear train.

Use this 22T pinion to achieve a specific drive ratio or to replace a damaged unit. Prior to fitting, confirm shaft diameter, set-screw position, and correct spur gear pitch to avoid poor mesh.

Installation and tuning notes:

  • Ensure the set-screw seats squarely on the motor shaft before final mesh adjustment.
  • Establish the correct mesh using thin paper or a feeler to prevent undue wear or binding.
  • After the break-in run, inspect and re-tighten the set-screw and verify mesh consistency under load.
