Installation-ready 64-pitch pinion

The Yokomo YOKPG6428 pinion is built for R/C pinion gear systems and common drivetrain assemblies. Its 64 pitch and 28 teeth specify the tooth spacing and count that must match a spur gear of the same pitch.

Keep this part as a straightforward swap or use it when tuning gear ratios; altering the pinion tooth count shifts the overall ratio and affects acceleration versus top speed in your model. It is not suitable for real vehicle application.

Installation advice: slide the pinion onto the motor shaft, align it for even tooth contact, tighten the set screw(s) to secure the part without crushing the shaft, and check axial alignment. Manually spin the drivetrain after fitting to ensure there is no binding.

Practical tuning hints: always match pitch between pinion and spur, check the contact patch under light load, and run trial tests after each pinion change to verify desired performance in your setup.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Place the pinion on the shaft where teeth align with the spur, adjust motor position for even mesh, and tighten the set screw while holding the shaft to prevent slippage.
Tighten firmly enough to stop rotation on the shaft but avoid excessive torque that could damage the shaft or strip threads; use thread locker if recurring loosening is an issue.
Rotate the drivetrain by hand and observe for rough spots or resistance, then inspect tooth engagement visually to confirm an even contact pattern across the teeth.
