Tuned rear coil for enhanced rear response

This Yokomo YOKRP-084BK rear spring serves as an RC-scale replacement designed for off-road suspension applications. It is supplied as a single coil intended to mount on compatible rear shock assemblies, offering straightforward springing for rear suspension without implying vehicle-specific fitment.

For installation, follow common coil-over procedures: remove the shock if helpful, back off preload, slide the spring over the shaft and seat it on the perch, then restore preload and reinstall the shock. Confirm the spring's internal diameter and free length match your shock's retainer and shaft before final assembly.

In tuning, rear spring choice has a direct effect on rear balance, traction and rebound. Combine these springs with the right shock oil weight, preload and travel limits to achieve the handling you want. Make incremental adjustments and test on the surfaces you normally run to evaluate changes in rotation and grip.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
A firmer rear spring increases rotation resistance and can reduce excessive squirm, while a softer spring aids traction by allowing more weight transfer; combine with suitable oil to tune the rebound and hold.
Often yes; if you increase spring rate you may want a heavier oil to slow rebound, and if you go softer you may choose lighter oil. Adjust in small steps and log each change.
Make one change at a time, test on a representative section of track, note differences in rotation and traction, then revert or progress based on measurable lap or handling improvements.
