High-strength S-size ball end

The Yokomo YOKRP-101SH is a purpose-built ball end for 4.8 S-size linkages, offering an 11.5mm ball length in a titanium construction that reduces weight while maintaining load resistance. It suits compact steering and suspension linkage setups where S-size fittings are used.

Used as the terminal between linkage rods or turnbuckles and ball studs, this ball end connects servo horns, suspension arms, and bulkheads. The titanium body helps prevent deformation under common model stresses and supports consistent geometry through repeated use.

To fit, screw the ball end onto compatible S-size rod threads until firm, then press the ball onto the mating stud ensuring full engagement without excess preload. Check articulation through the intended motion range and verify tightness after an initial run session.

When tuning, this compact, low-mass terminal helps preserve handling precision; small variations in length will alter throw and toe link geometry, so make incremental changes and evaluate handling before committing to setup changes.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Titanium is chosen for its favorable strength-to-weight characteristics and good resistance to deformation; longevity depends on conditions and maintenance but titanium commonly shows excellent wear resistance in linkage ends.
Inspect threads and ball seating after heavy use or impacts, and perform routine checks after several runs to ensure no loosening or increased play has developed.
Remove grit and lightly clean with a brush or cloth; avoid harsh chemicals that could affect mating hardware finishes and re-tighten if necessary after cleaning.
