Why 200cSt Works Well

YOKYS200 is a silicone shock fluid offering a 200cSt viscosity aimed at providing steady damping in RC-scale shocks. It controls compression and rebound by regulating flow through pistons and shim stacks, allowing fine handling adjustments without altering hardware geometry.

To install: remove the old fluid, inspect and clean the shaft and seal surfaces, then refill to the recommended level while watching for air pockets. Work the shaft slowly while filling to purge trapped air, wipe off surplus oil, and check seals before fitting the shock back to the vehicle. Use a syringe or oil bottle with a nozzle for accurate filling.

Tuning notes: higher viscosity increases damping on compression and rebound, reducing quick oscillation and making the car feel more controlled; lower viscosity gives livelier movement and better small-bump compliance. Use 200cSt as a middle ground and tweak spring rates, piston sizes, or shim stacks to match handling goals. Run short test laps and adjust incrementally.

Storage and care: keep caps tight, store at ambient temperature away from dust and direct sunlight, mark bottles to prevent mix-ups, and clean equipment after use. Dispose of waste fluid in line with local disposal rules.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Replace oil when you notice degraded damping, contamination, or after heavy use; regular inspection after running sessions will show if fluid darkens or particles appear, which indicates a change is needed.
Contaminants can accelerate wear; keep the oil and tools clean, avoid introducing dirt during filling, and check seals for damage to prevent abrasive particles from reaching bearings or internal surfaces.
Temperature affects viscosity; 200cSt provides moderate stability across common ambient ranges but extreme heat or cold will change damping feel, so check behavior and adjust if needed for severe conditions.
