This small rubber O-ring functions as a down stop in RC damper and shock assemblies, offering a defined cushion when the suspension reaches full compression. It is intended for use where an O-ring style stop is fitted to limit or soften piston or shaft bottoming.
Installation is straightforward on most shock designs: fit the O-ring onto the shock shaft or seat it in the lower shock area as your damper layout requires, then operate the suspension to check the down-stop effect. Because shock geometries differ, verify fit against your shaft diameter and clearances before committing to final assembly.
During setup, the O-ring helps tame bottoming and can be used to make small tuning changes to rebound and compression feel in combination with spring rate and oil viscosity changes. Replace when the rubber shows visible wear or permanent distortion to preserve consistent damping behavior.
