Soft O-Rings Built for Smooth Shock Action

The Yokomo YOKYS7S Silicon O Ring (Soft) 8pcs provides a set of soft silicon sealing rings intended for use in RC-scale shocks and damper assemblies. These eight soft O rings supply a compliant seal where a gentler contact is preferred to help piston movement remain smooth.

Designed as replacement sealing elements, these O rings suit shock assemblies that use an O-ring style seal on shafts or inside caps. The pack count covers several shock services or a spare for regular maintenance kits.

Service is straightforward: open the shock cap, remove the worn O ring, clean the groove and surrounding surfaces, apply a small amount of shock-compatible lubricant if needed, then fit the new O ring ensuring correct seating before reassembling the shock.

Using softer O rings will affect low-travel friction and the damper's initial response. Swap to these soft YOKYS7S rings when seeking a less restrictive return or when replacing aged, hardened seals to regain consistent motion.

Include these O rings in periodic shock maintenance to maintain seal integrity and consistent damping behavior across sessions.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
They are made from soft silicon for compliant sealing; durability depends on exposure to contaminants and solvents. With proper care they last through many service cycles, but inspect regularly for signs of wear.
Soft silicon generally tolerates common shock oils, but avoid prolonged contact with harsh chemical solvents. Rinse and inspect seals if aggressive cleaners have been used.
Replace when you detect hardening, surface cracks, flattening, or persistent leakage that cleaning and lubricant cannot fix.
Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and solvents, ideally in their original packaging or a sealed container to prevent dust contamination and deformation.
