Silicone damping fluid for RC shocks

Yokomo YOKYS950 Super Blend Shock Oil #950 is a silicone-based shock fluid intended for RC-scale shock absorbers. It is supplied as a ready-to-use damping fluid identified by the #950 mark in the product name, and it functions as a tuning element in a shock's damping circuit rather than as a mechanical part.

The oil alters shaft movement speed inside the damper, changing how the suspension copes with uneven surfaces, transitions and cornering loads. Apply it in shocks that accept silicone fluid; the formula suits a range of scale models using replaceable oil.

Service your shocks by removing caps, draining old oil, checking seals and internal components, then refill to the required level while eliminating trapped air. Comparing viscosities and mixtures is the standard method to dial bump and rebound characteristics.

Keep the container capped and stored in a cool dry location. Wear gloves if prolonged contact is possible and keep out of reach of children and animals.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Yes. Mixing viscosities is common to achieve intermediate damping. Test small proportions and record ratios so you can reproduce preferred settings.
After refilling, compress the shock slowly several times with the cap off to let trapped air escape, then top up and seal. Repeat until the action feels consistent and air bubbles are gone.
Most standard shock seal compounds tolerate silicone oil, but inspect seals for swelling or wear during regular maintenance and replace any that show deterioration.
