Silicone O-ring for Pitching Dampers

The Yokomo YOKYX40SO silicon O-ring serves as an RC-scale replacement for pitching damper assemblies identified for YRX 12. Its silicone construction gives low friction and resistance to common shock oils, helping to keep internal seals effective and damping consistent.

Fitting is simple for anyone familiar with damper servicing: strip the pitching damper, check the seating area for cuts or grit, and fit the replacement O-ring ensuring correct orientation. Refill with the shock oil you prefer and reassemble the damper following your usual procedure. Note that the O-ring's purpose is sealing to limit leakage and stabilise pitching behaviour, not to alter spring or valve settings.

Suitable for scheduled maintenance and small tuning adjustments on 1/10 scale touring cars where pitching dampers adjust body pitch and traction transitions. Supplied as a spare accessory for repair or preventative replacement when original seals deteriorate.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Remove the damper from the car, empty the oil, clean the piston and seat, then slide the new O-ring into place with the same orientation as the old seal before reassembly.
The O-ring is intended to maintain seal integrity; when new it may slightly tighten feel by reducing leakage, but it does not change spring rate or valving.
Silicone O-rings are generally oil resistant, but confirm compatibility with the shock oil you use; inspect the O-ring after early runs to ensure it withstands your chosen fluid.
