Titanium fasteners built for small-scale models

This accessory pack contains five titanium tapping screws sized M2.6x5mm, intended for model-scale fastening and routine maintenance. Their titanium construction gives good resistance to corrosion while keeping the fasteners lightweight for tiny chassis and body applications.

Use examples include fastening small alloy brackets and securing plastic components where a self-forming thread is useful. These tapping screws create threads as they are driven, so they are handy for on-the-fly repairs and minor upgrades on 1/10-1/12 scale kits.

Fitting advice: check alignment and seating before tightening, apply steady controlled torque to prevent thread damage, and verify the receiving material is appropriate for thread forming. Store a set in your tool kit for quick swaps during setup sessions or maintenance checks.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Tapping screws cut or displace material as they are driven, creating mating threads in plastics and softer alloys. Drive them straight and steadily to produce clean thread engagement.
Use moderate torque, align the screw carefully, and avoid forcing it into an undersized or misaligned hole. For harder receiving materials, consider a pilot or pre-tap.
Titanium offers strong corrosion resistance compared with many steels, but check for galvanic reactions with dissimilar metals and rinse off salt residue after exposure.
