Tuneable silicone shock fluid for reliable handling

The Yokomo YS-800 Super Blend Shock Oil #800 is a silicone-based damping fluid created for RC shock absorbers, enabling precise adjustment of damping characteristics. Selecting different viscosity grades lets you change rebound and compression to suit track or terrain conditions.

This oil is suitable for a wide range of hobby silicone dampers and threaded shock cartridges used on many electric and nitro scale models. It is supplied as a service fluid and not as a replacement shock unit or fitting component.

For best results during a rebuild, remove the old fluid and clean all parts before refilling. Fill slowly to limit trapped air, cycle the shock to expel bubbles, inspect pistons and seals, then reinstall springs and caps. Because #800 is heavier, use small steps when increasing viscosity to evaluate handling effects.

Yokomo’s Super Blend line emphasises consistent viscosity across temperature changes so setups remain dependable over multiple sessions, which benefits drivers who test and refine suspension settings frequently.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
An 800-grade oil slows damper movement compared with lower grades, producing firmer response and reducing rapid chassis movement. Expect slower compression and rebound for improved control on fast inputs.
No special tooling is required, but use a syringe or fine pour spout for neat filling. Clean components, use small volumes, and cycle the piston to release trapped air before sealing.
Yes, it is compatible with most foam-piston and standard piston shock designs, though damping outcome will depend on piston size and orifice. Test changes gradually to find the best combination.
