2.0mm graphite steering support for Works'91

The Yokomo YZ-202G serves as a graphite brace positioned between the front bulkhead and upper deck to secure the top section of the steering post. Its 2.0mm thickness lowers deflection at the steering pivot, helping deliver a more controlled and repeatable steering feel.

To fit, place the plate above the steering post upper journal and clamp it with the existing chassis hardware; no extra components are necessary. Because this piece is structural, any handling changes stem from increased front-end stiffness rather than a change in steering geometry.

For setup, install the plate and trial with your standard tyre choice and toe settings before altering suspension or steering. Make incremental adjustments and evaluate the effect on turn-in and mid-corner stability.

Yes. By reducing flex at the upper journal the YZ-202G tightens up the steering feel, improving precision at corner entry and through turn-in.
No additional drilling is required. The part is designed to be sandwiched using the stock hardware and fits into the existing chassis stack-up.
Graphite is stiff and light, but it can be vulnerable to concentrated stress. Use correct torque and inspect after impacts to maintain reliability.
Start with your usual setup and make small changes to toe and front roll stiffness. Evaluate changes gradually to understand how the plate alters turn-in and mid-corner behaviour.
