Overview of the YZ-2DTM3.1 Long-Wheelbase Chassis

The Yokomo Z2-002D31 is a hard main chassis produced for use on YZ-2DTM3.1 platforms in a long-wheelbase format to enhance directional control on dirt. As an RC replacement item it alters the vehicle's chassis geometry and increases overall longitudinal stiffness relative to the stock-length chassis.

From a setup perspective this chassis changes mass distribution and stiffness along the car's length, which modifies straight-line tracking and provides an alternate baseline for suspension and tyre adjustments. It is aimed at drivers tuning cars for dirt circuits who want a longer wheelbase choice inside the supported lineup.

The unit is described as hard construction, offering increased longitudinal stiffness compared with standard chassis types; this typically translates to firmer handling and improved resistance to flex under load on dirt.
Most fits are direct replacements with no extra reinforcement required, though check mounting points and clearances during install to ensure no interference with electronics or suspension travel.
Because the chassis is stiffer, you may favour softer spring or increased damping settings to regain grip and balance; consider small incremental changes when tuning for dirt surfaces.
