Graphite Front Tower for Lowered Centre

The Yokomo Z2-017-3A Graphite Front Shock Tower is designed for YZ-2DTM3 and CAL3 chassis that need a lower front shock position. Made from 4mm graphite, it shifts the shock mounting point down by 3mm to lower the centre of gravity and tidy up front-end grip. This change works well with gull type suspension arms to produce steadier steering feel through bends.

Fitment Notes and Handling Improvements

This component is compatible with chassis codes such as B-YZ2CAL3, B-YZ2CAL31-1, SOR-010, SOR-020, SOR-020D, B-YZ2DTM3, B-YZ2DTM31-1, ROR-010, ROR-010RTR, and ROR-010RTR-1. Fitting the tower can deliver improved balance and predictability on a variety of track surfaces.

Lowering the shock mount affects roll centre and can change how the suspension settles, so you may need minor ride height or camber adjustments to dial in handling.

Is the graphite durable for racing use?

The 4mm graphite offers a balance of stiffness and weight savings suitable for competitive use, though like all graphite parts it should be checked for chips or cracks after heavy impacts.

Should I change shock oil or springs after fitting?

You may find small tuning gains by fine tuning shock oil or spring rates to match the altered roll behaviour after lowering the mount. Start with small adjustments.
