Slim graphite battery tray designed for the YZ-2

The Yokomo Z2-118P2 graphite battery plate (ver.2) serves as a direct replacement plate to hold the battery on the YZ-2 chassis. Compared with the earlier YZ-2 plate it is described as thinner and lighter, intended to shave mass around the battery without altering the chassis geometry.

Fitment is straightforward: the plate locates in the stock YZ-2 battery position and uses the chassis' original battery mounting points. It is recommended to reuse the original screws and brackets where appropriate and to confirm correct seating before final torque to avoid chipping the graphite edges.

For tune changes the ver.2 graphite plate adds a small reduction in weight that can shift balance and handling. Enthusiasts employ it for incremental mass savings and a slightly lower centre of mass while retaining the standard battery location for consistent behaviour.

Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
Graphite is strong but can be brittle at edges. Handle the plate with care during installation, avoid over-tightening screws, and inspect mounting points after initial runs.
Most sellers provide the plate only, so plan to reuse the YZ-2's original mounting screws and brackets unless the listing states otherwise. Always confirm the parts included before purchase.
The change is modest; the thinner plate lowers mass slightly at the battery area which can produce a subtle improvement in balance and cornering feel without major setup changes.
