Durability and finish for YZ-2

This aluminum centre link is an RC-scale replacement made specifically for the YZ-2 2WD off-road platform. The black anodized bevelled finish improves wear resistance while giving a firmer connection at the steering centre compared to many stock plastic links.

The link is compatible with the listed YZ-2 variants and functions as a direct swap for the original centre rod in the steering geometry. Once installed it helps limit flex at the centre pivot and contributes to steadier steering response across different track surfaces.

Fit by removing the factory centre link from the steering assembly and installing this aluminium unit in the same position, ensuring toe and roll-center settings are retained during reassembly. After fitting, verify alignment and free steering movement to avoid any binding.

Compatibility

  • B-YZ2
  • B-YZ2CA

The black anodized surface increases surface hardness and resistance to abrasion, which helps the link retain fit and finish when exposed to dirt and repeated impacts.
Yes; aluminium offers greater structural rigidity and better resistance to deformation under load than many stock plastic links, reducing the chance of flex-related steering inconsistencies.
The anodized coating provides good protection against light scratches, but heavy impacts may still mark the surface. Performance is unaffected by superficial wear.
