Durable steel RF mount for YZ-2 chassis

The steel rear suspension mount (RF) is a direct replacement designed specifically for YZ-2 2WD off-road chassis. Compared with lighter aluminium alternatives this steel piece moves a little more mass down in the chassis to influence rear traction and handling feel while keeping the same suspension geometry.

Installation is routine for anyone used to YZ-2 rear servicing: remove the stock mount, shift any spacers or bushings across, and fasten the steel RF mount with the chassis' original bolts. Double-check thread engagement and torque settings after the first runs to prevent fastener loosening.

As a tuning tool the heavier mount helps promote rear traction and a more settled rear-end on loose surfaces. Use it together with spring and damper adjustments to fine-tune corner entry and mid-corner balance for varying track conditions.

The part is steel and should be inspected if frequently exposed to moisture. Routine drying and light lubrication on fasteners will help prevent corrosion over time.
Steel typically bends before cracking and can show visible deformation after heavy impacts; check the part after hard hits and replace if geometry is compromised.
Inspect fasteners for tightness after initial runs, look for signs of corrosion, and confirm the mount retains correct alignment with the rear hub assembly.
