L5 Arm Rear Mount Details

This aluminium rear suspension mount is an optional upgrade for the 4WD YZ-4 chassis, built for the L5 suspension arm. The rear-side suspension pin spacing is 2mm narrower than the standard mount, a measured change intended to alter rear geometry without modifying the suspension arm itself.

Used as a matched set with the front-side rear suspension mount Z4-300LRF and the 1mm longer L5 arm Z4-008RS5, the arrangement lets you alter track width while keeping the longer arm length. On high-traction carpet or turf surfaces the mount can induce moderate chassis roll even with firmer springing, which can help the car turn more readily.

To further tweak front-to-rear balance, the mount can be combined with a 1mm longer front arm Z4-008F1 for additional weight transfer and turn-in refinement. These notes describe RC-scale parts and setup only.

Can I use Z4-300LRR together with Z4-300LRF and Z4-008RS5?

Yes. When paired with Z4-300LRF and the 1mm longer L5 arm Z4-008RS5 you can adjust track width while retaining the longer arm. This combination lets you tune lateral grip without cutting or changing the arm.

Will this mount make the car feel less stable at high speed?

The mount is intended to introduce a moderate amount of roll on high-grip surfaces; it does not radically alter handling. With appropriate spring and damping choices the car retains stable high-speed behavior while gaining improved turn-in on carpet or turf.
