Precision main shaft for YZ-4

This is an optional main shaft sold as Yokomo Z4-644H for use on YZ-4 platform cars. Constructed from aluminium with a hard anodised surface, it helps resist wear while keeping mass below that of conventional steel shafts.

Functionally the shaft replaces the rotating element inside the gearbox and lowers inertia on that axis, which can contribute to crisper throttle response during tuning. Changes are intended to be incremental and tuning-focused rather than dramatic.

Fitting notes: swapping this shaft requires basic gearbox teardown to access the existing shaft and bearings. After installation check bearing alignment, running clearances and that the shaft is properly seated. The source does not list additional tools or permanent modifications.
