No special tools are required beyond the basic hex or screwdriver set used for your suspension hardware. Work on a clean bench and keep track of small parts.

Will the anodising affect contact surfaces?

The blue anodised finish is thin and generally will not prevent proper seating. If precise metal-on-metal contact is critical, check fit and, if necessary, remove anodising at the contact point.

How do I test the change after adding a shim?

Make a single change, then run a few laps to assess steering response, roll and mid-corner stability. Record results and adjust incrementally until you get the balance you want.
