Precision lower plate for YR-X12 competition chassis

This aluminium lower brace is a tuning component made for the YR-X12 1/12 competition chassis. Machined from the supplied 2.0mm 70-75 duralumin plate, it increases lower-chassis rigidity while lowering the centre of gravity to sharpen handling precision.

The relatively thin profile keeps it compatible with narrow-diameter tyres commonly used on indoor carpet circuits, and its added traction tendency helps reduce high-sides on carpet. On very grippy layouts the plate dials back excessive steering bite, resulting in a more composed car through fast corners without major setup changes.

Fitting is a direct chassis replacement that alters front-to-rear flex balance; follow routine maintenance checks and verify screw torque after the first runs. Choose this plate when you need firmer lower chassis support or a subtle drop in centre of gravity for steadier lines.

  • Supported chassis: YR-X1219
  • Supported chassis: YR-X12
Remark :
Due to limited stock availability, please notice that some Yokomo items may have to order from the factory and the ready time is around 4-6 weeks. Customer purchases the item is assumed to accept the waiting time which allows us to order directly from the manufacturer if the item is out of our warehouse.
The supplied 2.0mm 70-75 duralumin plate offers a good balance of stiffness and toughness for indoor competition use; normal care and correct torque settings will maintain longevity.
Check mounting screws after the first few runs and inspect for contact with suspension or drive components; occasional torque rechecks are recommended.
