Product Function and Fit

The YS Engine YSF2132 carburetor insulator is a compact accessory that mounts between a nitro engine carburetor and the engine backplate to reduce thermal conduction into the carburetor. By limiting heat soak from the cylinder head it helps make carburetor behaviour more predictable during extended or hot running.

Installation is straightforward: ensure the mating surfaces are clean and flat, position the insulator with bolt holes aligned, and tighten fasteners evenly to prevent distortion. Follow the engine manufacturer's torque guidance for screws and inspect the carburetor base to ensure there are no air leaks. Do not overtighten or alter the component.

As part of tuning practice the insulator reduces heat-related vaporisation and idle drift, supporting more consistent carburetion rather than acting as a substitute for correct jetting adjustments.
