The YS Engine YSF2191 lower push rod is supplied as a replacement item for DZ140 valve trains and is intended to restore correct mechanical linkage in glow engine rocker assemblies. It performs the basic role of transferring rocker motion so valve timing and throttle response remain consistent.
Before installing, inspect the removed rod for bends, end wear, and any damaged threads. Ensure identical thread engagement and use proper torque on the linkage hardware that came with your engine, and check straightness by rolling the rod on a flat surface or turning it in the rocker to spot any wobble.
During maintenance or tuning, replacing the lower push rod can remove slop that causes idle instability and uneven mid-range response. Where practical, change rods in matched pairs and re-check valve lash and rocker alignment after fitting to confirm predictable engine behavior.
