The Tamiya 49489 WILLCOM ADVAN Vemac 408R reproduces the race car that took victory at Round 8 Autopolis and finished third in the 2007 season. This 1/10 scale kit uses the TA05IFS chassis and equal-length drive belts to deliver smooth, well balanced power to all four wheels.
The TA05IFS design features a front inboard suspension with horizontal oil dampers that work through rocker arms and push rods. This arrangement improves high speed stability and gives a wide tuning range so drivers can dial in handling for different track conditions.
The model captures visual details with a realistic polycarbonate shell and preprinted decals showing the sky blue liveries and sponsor markings. Reversible lightweight suspension components keep the car nimble while staying true to the prototype.
To complete the build you will need a 2-channel radio plus servos, a 6-cell flat battery using the standard Tamiya plug, and a suitable charger. Use paints intended for polycarbonate for the body and standard ABS paints where indicated, and gather usual modelling tools for trimming and assembly.
The Tamiya 49489 WILLCOM ADVAN Vemac 408R is aimed at builders who want a realistic showpiece that is also capable on the track, thanks to the tunable TA05IFS platform.
