Meet the 57407 Star Unit Dual Rider T3-01

The Tamiya 57407 Star Unit Dual Rider T3-01 introduces a compact three-wheel concept to the on-road scene, recreating the feel of motorcycle leaning in a model format. Its combination of believable motion and tidy styling appeals to builders focused on realism and tidy finishes.

How the T3-01 Chassis Works

The T3-01 layout enables the body to lean into corners, which improves line holding and gives a natural sensation when changing direction. The chassis is tuned for predictable turn-in and manageable balance, so it suits a range of skill levels from first-time 1/8 builders to more experienced racers who enjoy unique handling traits.

Scale Rider Figure and Visual Detail

Included with the kit is a detailed rider that lifts the visual authenticity of the model. Careful painting of the figure and trim will enhance the overall presentation and complement the forward-looking body design.

Optimised for Paved Running

This model excels on sealed surfaces where the lean mechanism and steering feedback can be felt clearly. It is best enjoyed on smooth circuits, parking areas or sealed roads rather than loose terrain.

Great to do business with, good communication, items well packaged and delivery times are pretty good. Highly recommended. A+++
Yes, but expect a longer build than smaller scales. Take time with fit and finish and it makes a great first 1/8 project for someone comfortable with kit assembly.
Use on-road tyres designed for 1/8 scale models and pick a compound suited to the surface you run on; firmer compounds work well on smooth tarmac while softer tyres grip polished floors better.
Adjust ride height, weight distribution and steering trim for finer control. Small changes to suspension or tyre choice will affect how strongly the model leans and responds to steering inputs.
