The Tamiya 58412 RC Xanavi Nismo GT-R (R35) TB-03 captures a milestone car from the Super GT scene. The full-size R35 scored a notable victory in 2008 with drivers Satoshi Motoyama and Benoit Treluyer, its 4,494 cc powerplant delivering more than 500 hp. This scale model aims to reflect that competition spirit while remaining a realistic build project for hobbyists.
The TB-03 advances Tamiya's chassis line with a robust bathtub frame and a built-in motor cooling duct to manage heat during long runs. The in-board front suspension and horizontal dampers lower the centre of gravity and help the polycarbonate body sit cleanly over the chassis. It also accepts certain TA05-IFS compatible bodies for alternative styling.
The single-piece aluminium motor mount on the TB-03 simplifies gear changes, reducing setup time between sessions. Ball differentials front and rear smooth power delivery, and the reversible short suspension combined with TRF416 knuckles gives a strong baseline for race tuning.
Tamiya 58412 Xanavi Nismo GT-R (R35) on the TB-03 chassis is well suited to modders and racers who want a historically inspired livery on a chassis that takes setup seriously. It rewards careful tuning and track time.
